Small Group Service Opportunities
Small Groups at Grace offer members a meaningful place to connect. Grace enjoys several types of Small Group opportunities - each focusing on one of the four elements of faith (service, study, fellowship and prayer) but incorporating the others. If you are interested in any group, please contact the church office who will put you in touch with appropriate coordinator.
Angel Circle
This study group meets the 3rd Tuesday at 10:00am for Bible study and fellowship.
Bible Study
This group is studying “The Challenge of Islam” from the Lutheran Hour Men’s Network. This group meets every Wednesday at 10:00am.
Bad Girls
Women meet to discuss biblical themes, participate in service projects, and provide an environment for supportive fellowship. Bad Girls meet the 3rd Tuesday at 7:00pm.
Men’s Breakfast
A Bible study group for men to discuss various topics while enjoying some excellent gastronomic treats. The group meets the 1st and 3rd Friday at 7:00am.
Dinner for Eight
A small group of (8) people (couples and individuals) assigned together for a four month period. Once a month they meet for a meal (dinner, brunch, or other activity) and fellowship.
Middle School Madness (MSM)
Youth grades 6-12 meet on the second Sunday of each month at 9:30am in the Youth Room to share a devotion and plan upcoming events.
High School Happenings (HSH)
High school youth meet on the first Sunday of each month at 9:30am in the Youth Room for food, devotions, and planning of projects.
Happy Clappers
This group meets every Wednesday at 11:00am for an hour to learn to play handchimes, learn a little about music, and mostly laugh a lot.
Joyful Noise
The handbell choir meets every Thursday from 6:00-7:00pm. If you have past experience playing a musical instrument and can commit to regular rehearsals, please join us.
Adult Choir
The choir rehearses every Thursday evening from 7:00-8:30pm. Singers who like to sing are welcome, even if you have no experience.
GEMS (Greet, Eat, and Meet)
This group meets the 4th Monday of the month at 12:30pm. Men and women meet for good food, great fellowship, and a down-home get together.

Shepherd’s Center
Grace volunteers donate their time and talents to help senior adults remain independent in their homes.
CCHASMM
Chesterfield Colonial Heights Alliance of Social Ministry. Grace provides prayer and financial support for CCHASM operations and programs.
Jail Ministry
Grace provides prayer and financial support for the ministry that brings the gospel to persons serving prison sentences.
YMCA
Grace provides prayer and financial support for YMCA programs and operations. We also participate in the School Supplies program.
VIP Care
Grace provides prayer and financial support for this ministry that provides confidential counseling services and support for clergy and their families.
Apple of His Eye
Grace provides prayer and financial support for this ministry that spreads the message of Jesus Christ to Jews and Gentiles.
Gulf Coast Mission
This is an annual, short term mission trip to an area in the gulf coast region. Members of Grace share God’s love by providing building skills and materials to people who have been hurt by natural disasters.
Ramps from Grace
A ministry that shares God’s love by building ramps for people in the local community. Grace provides prayer, financial and person-power support.
CARITAS
Congregations Around Richmond Involved to Assure Shelter. Members of Grace prepare and serve meals to persons being served by CARITAS.
Tri-City Work Camp
A ministry to heal hearts and homes in the Tri-City area. Each summer Grace youth join with youth from other churches to share God’s love by providing home repair services and fellowship for those in need. Follow the Tri-Cities Workcamp on FaceBook. 
Lutheran Family Star Tree
A ministry to provide Christmas gifts for children in foster care with Lutheran Family Services.
Colonial Heights Care Center
Members of Grace visit residents of Colonial Heights Care Center.
